Pollination: The Beautiful Tricks of Flowers

In this beautiful ted.com presentation by Jonathan Drori he explains the various evolved methods employed by plants to attract insects to spread pollen and complete their reproductive process:  growing 'landing-strips' to guide the insects in, shining in ultraviolet, building elaborate traps, and even mimicking other insects in heat.
If you spend a lot of time observing bees foraging in flowers like I do this will give you an idea of what particular aspects of flowers attract the girls (bees) and what you can plant in your garden to attract bees.  The Bee Plant pages in this website give a more detailed list of favourite bee plants.
