Some of the local Vancouver area Beekeeping education centres have announced their course schedules for 2013. Honeyland Canada, Honeybee Centre and Homesteader's Emporium have announced classes beginning in January on both honey beekeeping and mason bees. Homesteader's Emporium at 649 E. Hastings Street in Vancouver is also offering a number of workshops in January and February on subjects like farming, urban gardening, making sauerkraut and pickles, beekeeping, candle making, keeping chickens, mason bees, mushroom cultivation and soap making.
